Svaneti Itinerary | 13–18 October
Day 1 – 13 Oct
• Pick up in Tbilisi 09:00 (Chovelidze St. 12)
• Drive to Martvili Canyon → visit
• Lunch break on the way
• Visit Bagrati Cathedral, Kutaisi
• 🏨 Stay in Kutaisi
• 🍽 Dinner recommendations: Sisters Restaurant / Restaurant Palaty
Day 2 – 14 Oct
• Breakfast
• Drive to Ushguli via new mountain road
• 🥾 Shkhara Glacier Hike:
Distance: 16 km (round trip)
Duration: 4–5 hrs
Elevation gain: ~500 m
Difficulty: Moderate
• 🏡 Stay in Ushguli (dinner included at guesthouse)
Day 3 – 15 Oct
• Breakfast
• Drive to Koruldi Lakes 🏔️
• Visit Svaneti Museums or watch local movie “Dede” 🎬

Day 4 – 16 Oct

Distance: 10 km (round trip)

Day 6 – 18 Oct
• Breakfast
• Drive back to Tbilisi
• Stop at Uplistsikhe Cave Town 🏛️

Itinerary may be modified depending on weather and safety.
Road might be changed/transportation delay due to landslides and weather conditions in the mountain

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE TOUR
WEATHER
Georgian weather changes often and fast. For this reason, it is essential to follow the weather forecast closely. The weather forecast is here. Please check it the night before the tour to be well prepared. Keep in mind that the weather may change during the tour.
WHAT TO WEAR
Please wear clothes appropriate to the weather. Hiking boots a must. Bring one set of warm clothes and one light outfit for hiking. Good raincoats, rain covers for backpacks, and another pair of shoes or sandals to wear in the evenings.
FOOD & DRINKS
Food which is not included in the tour can be ordered in the restaurants.
Always make sure you have enough drinking water. 1.5-2 liters should be enough for the day. Supermarkets are available.
EQUIPMENT & OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS
If you are prone to motion sickness, please have medicine with you.
As for the equipment, you will need hiking boots, hiking poles, a raincoat, sunhat that protects you from the sun. We also recommend carrying a personal first aid kit, hygiene items, and water bottles. day pack for hiking.
