Itinerary:

3 August – Tbilisi to Stepantsminda

Your driver will meet you at your preferred meeting point in Tbilisi.

Enjoy a private transfer to Stepantsminda (approximately 3–4 hours). Along the way, you can stop at some of the region’s highlights, including the Zhinvali Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, and the Gudauri Panorama. If time allows, you can also visit Gveleti and take the short, easy hike to Gveleti Waterfall before continuing to Stepantsminda.Overnight in Stepantsminda.

We will arrange accommodation for our driver. You are free to book your own accommodation according to your preferences—just let us know the location, and the driver will pick you up there the following morning.

 

 

4 August – Juta Hiking Day

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation. Private transfer to Juta, where you will begin your hike. Follow the trail to the 5th Season Hut, continue to the beautiful Tina Lake, and, if you feel like a longer challenge, continue up to Chaukhi Pass for spectacular mountain views. After the hike, return to Juta the same way and meet your driver for the transfer back to Stepantsminda. Overnight in Stepantsminda.

 

5 August – Gergeti to Altihut Hike

After breakfast, begin your hike towards Gergeti Trinity Church. If you prefer to save some energy for the alpine section, you can ask your driver to take you to the Gergeti parking area, where the main hiking trail begins. Alternatively, if you would like a longer hike, you can start directly from Stepantsminda and hike all the way to Gergeti Trinity Church. From Gergeti, continue hiking to Altihut, enjoying spectacular views of Mount Kazbek along the way. Overnight at Altihut. Guests are kindly asked to book their own accommodation at Altihut.

 

6 August – Altihut to Tbilisi via Truso Valley

After breakfast, hike back from Altihut to the Gergeti parking area, where your driver will meet you. This saves time and avoids hiking all the way back to Stepantsminda.

Begin your private transfer towards Tbilisi, stopping on the way to explore the beautiful Truso Valley. Enjoy a hike through the valley, with time to visit the Abano Mineral Lake and the historic Zakagori Fortress. After the hike, continue the drive to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Itinerary

Day 1

Tbilisi – Ananuri – Gudauri – Gveleti – Stepantsminda

We depart Tbilisi in the morning and drive north along the famous Georgian Military Road. Along the way, we stop at the medieval Ananuri Fortress and the Gudauri Panorama, offering impressive views of the Greater Caucasus. We then enjoy a short but rewarding hike to the 25-meter Gveleti Waterfall. In the afternoon, we continue to Stepantsminda, check into our guesthouse, and have lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we visit the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, a 14th-century monastery standing at 2,170 meters above sea level, overlooking the surrounding mountains. Return to the guesthouse. Overnight in Stepantsminda.

Day 2

Stepantsminda – Juta – Stepantsminda

Today we head to the picturesque village of Juta for one of the most scenic hikes in the Kazbegi region. The trail begins with a relatively steep one-kilometer ascent before opening into a beautiful alpine valley beneath the dramatic Chaukhi Massif. Our goal is Tina Lake, located at the foot of the mountains. If time permits, we will also visit a nearby waterfall before returning to Stepantsminda. Overnight in Stepantsminda.

Day 3

Stepantsminda – Truso Valley – Tbilisi

After breakfast, we head to Truso Valley, a spectacular mountain valley known for its colorful travertine formations, mineral springs, and abandoned villages. Starting near Abano Mineral Lake, we hike through the valley, passing remote monasteries before reaching the ruins of Zakagori Fortress, where we enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, we drive back to Tbilisi, stopping in Pasanauri to taste its famous khinkali. Arrival in Tbilisi in the evening. End of the tour.

Itinerary:

Early in the morning, we will head to the Samtskhe-Javakheti region in southwest Georgia. Our destination will be the area of Lake Paravani and Ninotsminda.

Since the 19th century, this area has been home to Doukhobors – a Spiritual Christian ethnoreligious group exiled from the Russian empire for their nonorthodox beliefs. By the end of the 19th century, there were around 10,000 Doukhobors in Georgia. Many of them left the country following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

During this trip, Our local host will meet us and we will have an opportunity to look at the architecture Doukhobors left behind. We will visit the Doukhobor community center in Gorelovka village. It was once the house of Peter Kalmykov, son of Illarion Kalmykov (the first leader of the Doukhobors that settled in the area in 1841). We will also have lunch with a local family.

On the way back to Tbilisi,we will stop at Poka convert shop. Return to Tbilisi in the evening. The end of the tour.

Lomisa is the principal shrine for the highland province of Mtiuleti and neighboring communities. On our hike, we will follow the pilgrims’ route. This day is focused on enjoying nature at a relaxed pace, with an easy hike, fresh air, and time by the cold mountain water. Upon reaching the trailhead, we will begin walking along a narrow path passing through meadows and forest sections. Along the route, we will cross a small creek several times. The water is usually shallow, but depending on the season, you may need to remove your shoes to cross comfortably. There are wooden bridges on the way but they sometimes don’t last long. Once we reach Biisi Waterfall, we will have time to relax, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings. After returning to the vehicles, we will visit the historic Uplistsikhe cave town. you can get entry tickets and explore the place. Arrival in the city is expected in the evening.

    THIS IS THE NEW TRAIL. The trail starts at the end of Roshka and leads through a picturesque valley to the foothills of Mount Chaukhi. Trail has 4 sections:
    From end of Roshka village to White lake, from White lake to Blue lake, from Blue lake to Green lake, from Green lake to end of Roshka village.

 

Itinerary:

We will leave Tbilisi early in the morning and drive to the tiny, remote village of Roshka. In Roshka, we will leave our vehicles and start our hike.

The walk will take us through a beautiful, spacious valley. We will cross a small stream and gradually start hiking towards Mount Chaukhi, rising at the valley’s northern end. At the path’s end lies White Lake fed by the water sipping from Chaukhi Glacier.
Once we reach White Lake, we rest, enjoy the views, and eat our picnic lunch. After we will hike a steep downhill towards the Blue lake. We will again stop at blue lake to take photos and have water/snack stop.

Our third stop will be the tiny Green Lake, named after the color of its waters. From Green lake we will continue to the old trail and at some point we will turn towards our cars. The hike becomes a loop.

We will head back to our vehicles. Return to Tbilisi. The end of the tour.

The route follows forest trails, alpine meadows, and open ridgelines before reaching the summit of Jamjama Mountain. The ascent is steady throughout the day and rewards hikers with wide views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. 

 

Itinerary:

We will leave Tbilisi in the morning and drive towards Levitana Lake, reaching an elevation of approximately 1,800 meters above sea level. From here, we will begin our hike on a narrow mountain trail. The first section passes through a small forested area before opening into mountain meadows and wide open landscapes. The trail remains narrow but well visible as it gradually gains elevation.

Continuing uphill, we will reach the slopes of Jamjama Mountain at approximately 2,200 meters, enjoying views of the surrounding valleys and mountain ranges along the way. After spending time on the ridge and summit area, we will begin our descent towards Lailebi. The route down follows mountain paths through open meadows before reaching the village, where our vehicle will meet us for the drive back to Tbilisi.

The route follows mountain trails connecting Gudamakari and Khevsureti via Pkhituri Pass. The hike includes a steady ascent to the pass, followed by a visit to Ukanakho Lake and panoramic views of the surrounding Caucasus Mountains. The terrain consists of mountain paths, open slopes, and alpine meadows.

 

 

Itinerary

Day 1 – Bakurkhevi to Buchukurta

In the morning, we will leave Tbilisi and drive to Bakurkhevi Village by 4WD vehicles. Horses will carry the group’s luggage during the first day of the trek, allowing participants to hike with only a light daypack. From Bakurkhevi, we will begin our ascent through open alpine meadows and mountain pastures, following a relatively wide and well-defined trail. The route covers approximately 5 km, with around 800 m of ascent and 130 m of descent. Along the way, there will be views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Overnight in Buchukurta.

Day 2 – Buchukurta to Chirdili

After breakfast, we will continue our trek towards Chirdili Village. we dont have horses today. The trail passes through high mountain landscapes before descending towards Khevsureti. Today’s hike covers approximately 9 km, with around 200 m of ascent and 1,200 m of descent. Along the route, we will cross Pkhituri Pass and visit Ukanakho Lake before continuing towards Chirdili. Upon arrival, we will meet our vehicles and begin the drive back. We have considered more kilometers in the hiking parameters in case there’s bad road conditions for cars.

This trek takes us deep into one of the lesser-visited valleys of the Greater Caucasus, following mountain roads and trails to the impressive Bursachili Waterfall. Along the way, we will pass through mountain landscapes, river valleys, and open slopes while enjoying a full day in nature.

Itinerary:

We will leave Tbilisi in the morning and head on Georgian Military Road to Gudamakari Valley. This lovely, remote region is a small historical geographic area stretched on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains along the Black Aragvi River.

Our hike will start near Bursachili Village at an elevation of approx. 1700 m.a.s.l. From there, we will follow an earth road deeper into the valley. After the first 5 kilometers, the rad will shit into a narrow walking path running along the mountain slopes. Eventually, we will reach the 20-meter-high spectacular Bursachili Waterfall, where we will have time for a scenic picnic.

In the afternoon, we will head back to our vehicles and head back to Tbilisi. Return to Tbilisi, the end of the tour.
