Join us on a Winter Likani Day Hike in Borjomi National Park. We will enjoy frozen forest, winter landscapes, snow ice and fresh air!

Trail description: It’s a loop hike with a couple of uphill sections. An ascent of 860 meters stretches over the first 7 km with a following steep decline. We recommend bringing walking poles to ease the descent. This hiking trail might be difficult for inexperienced hikers. winter is slippery and recommended to bring small type of shoe crampons if you have!
Itinerary:
In the morning, we will head to Borjomi National Park. Our hike will start in the Likani River Gorge. The trail is well known for its spectacular views and the possibility of wildlife encounters. It’s a moderate-level hike, but it may be challenging for inexperienced hikers.
Initially, we will hike in the forest. Once we reach the trail’s highest section, we will see the gorge stretching below us. Finally, we will descend back to Likani. During the hike, we will stop for a picnic lunch in a spectacular viewpoint from which you can admire the mountains of the Borjomi National Park. we will not stop for restaurant. Return to Tbilisi in the evening around 7 pm. The end of the trip.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE TOUR
MEETING TIME AND PLACE
We meet on 9:00 at Samaia Garden. Please be on time. In case of any delays, please inform your guide. Otherwise, the group will depart without you.
WEATHER
Georgian weather changes often and fast. For this reason, it’s essential to follow the weather forecast closely. Here is the weather forecast. Please check it the night before the tour to be well prepared.
WHAT TO WEAR
Please wear clothes appropriate to the weather. Make sure to wear proper hiking boots and bring walking poles. bring small shoe crampon extensions if you have. gaiters if its big snow. warm layers and light layers since its hot while hiking. gloves and waterproof or hiking trousers. a hat and sunglasses.
FOOD & DRINKS
Always make sure you have enough drinking water. 1.5–2 liters should be enough for the day. Make sure to bring snacks – sandwiches, dried fruit, and sweets and your own lunch. They will help you maintain your energy level until evening.
OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS
If you are prone to motion sickness, please have medicine with you. Bring a day pack to carry small items with you. Make sure to have sunglasses and suncream with you.
