Trail description: one-way trail first uphill section, then on the ridge, then heading downhill. Large part of the hike lies in a forest. We recommend wearing hiking boots and bringing walking poles. Trail might have high grass.

 

Itinerary:

We will leave Tbilisi in the morning and drive to Zedazeni area, forested mountain in Saguramo. The trail is well-visible most of the time. In a couple of places, we will walk over collapsed trees. Mid-hike, we will have a chance to sit down and enjoy a picnic lunch. Bring your favorite snacks with you. The last section of the hike will take us out of the forest to an open space with a view of the Tbilisi Sea. Trail might have a lot of mud if its raining. trail might have a lot of grass if its not walked yet.  We will finish hiking at Vejini where we will meet our driver. The end of the tour.

Itinerary:

Explore the history, culture, and nature around Tbilisi on this day trip. Start at the Didgori Battle Memorial, dedicated to the famous 1121 battle, and enjoy wide mountain views from the area. Visit Tsveri St. George Church, a small hilltop church surrounded by peaceful landscapes, then continue to Betania Monastery, a well-preserved medieval monastery hidden in the forest.

Take a relaxing break at Kiketi Farm, where you can enjoy local products and lunch if you wish. Take a look at Beria’s historic summer house (we can’t get inside the garden) , and finish the day with a short hike to Azeula Fortress, where the ruins and panoramic views create a perfect ending to the trip.

Terrain: The trail starts on a gravel road with a gradual ascent. After climbing from the lake, the path becomes mostly flat and descends towards Uplistsikhe. The landscape is open, with no shade, and can be hot and windy.

 

Itinerary:

We’ll depart from Tbilisi in the morning and drive to Nadarbazevi Lake, where our hike begins. The route gradually ascends before leveling out, offering scenic views of the Gori region.

After 5-6 hours of hiking, we’ll arrive at Uplistsikhe Cave Town, an ancient rock-hewn settlement with fascinating history and stunning landscapes.  returning to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 1
Tbilisi – Dedoplistskaro – Datviskhevi – Pantishara Gorge – Minjiskure

We will leave Tbilisi early in the morning and drive through Kakheti to Vashlovani National Park. Once we reach the park, we will switch to off-road mode and head to explore Vashlovani hidden gems – Datviskhevi and Pantishara Gorge, and the stunning cliffs of Minjiskure. At Minjiskure, we will set up our camp for the night. we will also have shelter booked in case you dont want to camp. We will spend the evening relaxing and admiring the stars.

Day 2
Minjiskure – Elia Monastery – Restaurant – Tbilisi

After breakfast, we will visit Saint Elia Church.The visit requires following a steep rocky trail, so it’s not for everyone. If you have any mobility issues, we recommend taking a stroll around the area instead.

In the early afternoon, we will head delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Return to Tbilisi. The end of the trip.

Trail description: The trek is long, with a steady elevation gain from Juta towards Chaukhi Pass and a steep descent towards Abudelauri Lakes. Crossing the pass is the most challenging section; the trail over the pass is covered with gravel and small stones moving under hikers’ feet. The last 400 meters before the pass are a steep uphill followed by a relatively flat section on the pass and a long steep downhill towards Abudelauri Lakes. Other sections are much gentler, covered with grass and sand.

 


Itinerary:

Day 1
Tbilisi – Juta – Acclimatization overnight
We will depart Tbilisi in the afternoon and drive to Juta village (approximately three hour drive). We will follow the famous Georgian Military Highway, stopping on the way to admire its highlights – Zhinvali Reservoir, Ananuri castle, and Gudauri panorama. Upon arrival in Juta, we will check into our guesthouse head to explore the hidden corners of the area. Dinner and overnight in Juta.

 

Day 2
Juta – Chaukhi – Chaukhi Pass – Roshka – Tbilisi
After breakfast We will start our hike early in the morning. The initial stage of the trail will be relatively easy, with a gradual but moderate incline. Our first stop will be near Tina Lake at the foot of Mount Chaukhi. After a short break, we will proceed towards Chaukhi Pass – the most challenging part of our trek due to altitude increase. After crossing the pass, we will start descending to Roshka Village. This section of the hike is long and follows a narrow path covered with gravel. we will find Abudelauri blue and green lakes on the way and have short breaks. In Roshka, we will meet our drivers. Return to Tbilisi in the evening. The end of the tour.

Itinerary:

We will leave Tbilisi in the morning and head on Georgian Military Road to Gudamakari Valley. This lovely, remote region is a small historical geographic area stretched on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains along the Black Aragvi River.

Our hike will start near Bursachili Village at an elevation of approx. 1700 m.a.s.l. From there, we will follow an earth road deeper into the valley. After the first 5 kilometers, the rad will shit into a narrow walking path running along the mountain slopes. Eventually, we will reach the 20-meter-high spectacular Bursachili Waterfall, where we will have time for a scenic picnic.

In the afternoon, we will head back to our vehicles and head back to Tbilisi. Return to Tbilisi, the end of the tour.

The route follows village roads and walking paths. Most of the walk is relatively flat, with a few uphill sections leading to viewpoints over the valley. The hike is suitable for anyone with a basic level of fitness.

 

Itinerary:

After departing from Tbilisi, we will drive to Gudamakari Gorge, a mountain region known for its villages, traditions and sacred stories of local shrines, preserved through generations of oral traditions. Our local guide will take us through the villages of Chokhi, Dumatskho, and Gamsi, following village roads and paths while learning about the history, customs, and everyday life of the valley. Along the way, there will be opportunities to enjoy views of the surrounding mountains, alpine meadows, and the Black Aragvi River. After the walk, we will visit a local guesthouse where we will enjoy a traditional lunch, taste regional dishes, and take part in a khinkali-making masterclass with our hosts before returning to Tbilisi in the evening.

Tbilisi – Lanchkhuti – Poti

Early in the morning, we will leave Tbilisi and head to the Guria region. Along the way, we will make short stops for breaks.

Our first visit will be to a local woman’s home in the small green village of Atsana, where she offers a unique local experience. She will show us how to make the traditional meal Brinjula during a masterclass. Afterward, we will taste it together with tea and local snacks while listening to her stories about the area and local life.

Our next stop will be a family winery with a beautiful garden and vineyard. The hosts offer traditional folklore masterclasses, and we will enjoy local songs while tasting their homemade wine.

Later, we will continue to Poti city. After checking into the guesthouse, we will go to see the Poti lighthouse and watch the sunset. Dinner will be in a local restaurant (self-paid).

 

Day 2
Poti – Kolkheti National Park – Nokalakevi – Tbilisi

After breakfast, we will start the morning with a boat ride in Kolkheti National Park, where we can enjoy the greenery, birds, and views of Paliastomi Lake.

Next, we will visit Nokalakevi, where a clear blue river meets natural hot sulphur springs. Please bring swimwear if you would like to go into the water.

Our next stop will be a birdwatching area where grey herons can often be seen nesting in the trees.

Afterward, we will have a lunch stop (self-paid) before driving back to Tbilisi.

WHAT TO WEAR
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. bring your swimwear with you, towels.  bring raincoats if it shows rain. a cap or sunglasses, sunscreen. 

FOOD & DRINKS
There will be lots of opportunities to get something to eat on this tour. Pack only light snacks and a bottle of water. If you run out of something, we will stop at the supermarket.

Visit a real Soviet bunker located beneath the streets of Tbilisi.
Tbilisi bunkers create an underground city beneath the capital’s streets. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union allocated a large budget to prepare for nuclear and other attacks. Under Tbilisi alone, there are about 450 bunkers, one of which includes a large control panel to provide communication with bunkers below other Georgian cities.
During our tour through the Tbilisi bunker, we will learn how such facilities were heated, where they were getting water from, and how they communicated with each other. We will also have an opportunity to take a closer look at the technology used to measure radiation and protect it from its impact.

Join us on a beautiful Winter Rkoni Monastery Day Hike. Our trail will lead us through Tedzami River Valley – a scenic gorge hiding medieval ruins and spoiling visitors with scenic views.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Trail description: It is an easy, one-way trail with a couple of uphill sections and small river stream. Large part of it is done in a forest. We recommend wearing hiking boots and bringing walking poles.

NOTE: if Ikvi trail has too much snow we will switch to standard itinerary which means hiking from Rkoni village to Rkoni monastery, Bridge and back.

 

Itinerary:

We will leave Tbilisi in the morning, and head to Tedzami River Valley. We will start our hike at the Church of the Mother of God in Chachubeti Village. First, we will reach Ikvi Church, a cross-in-square temple dated to the 11th century. The trail to the church follows an old earth road surrounded by trees, forested mountains, and gentle meadows. From Ikvi church, we will head to the medieval Rkoni Monastery. The main temple of the monastery dates to the VII century. Our last stop will be the picturesque Tamar’s Bridge, one of the best-preserved stone bridges in Georgia. From Tamar’s Bridge, we will hike back to Rkoni village, where we will meet our vehicle. Return to Tbilisi. The end of the tour.

Please wear clothes appropriate to the weather. Hiking boots are a must. We also recommend walking poles and raincoats in case it rains.
Winter has snow, bring gloves, scarf, a hat and sunglasses too.

FOOD & DRINKS
Always make sure you have enough drinking water. 1.5-2 liters should be enough for the day. Please make sure to bring snacks – sandwiches, dried fruit, sweets. They will help you maintain your energy during the hike.
