Georgia Trekking & Cultural Tour – Detailed Itinerary

Day 0 (Aug 15): Arrival in Tbilisi

Arrival in Tbilisi at 21:20. – We need flight number and info. 

Our 2 Sprinter cars will meet you at the airport parking. Our manager and a guide Natia will be there to meet you inside the airport at arrivals. Her whatsapp number +995577687965

Driving time from the airport to the hotel is approximately 1 hour.

Day 1 (Aug 16): Juta Valley Trekking & Gergeti Trinity Church

Breakfast at the hotel at. 8:00
Meet your guides 8:30 and depart at 09:00.

Your guide will be Natia and she will take a second guide with her.

Car type: 5 × Mitsubishi Delica 4WD vehicles.
Each vehicle fits 6 passengers + 1 extra foldable seat. and has a roof luggage rack, sufficient for all equipment.

Stops and plan:

• Jinvali Reservoir – stop for photos and short break – 20 Min
• Ananuri Fortress – 30 min stop to explore fortress. 
• 12:00 – Trekking in Juta Valley (Tina Lake area) until approx. 17:00
  the road is damaged and we will have extra 3 km one way to hike towards the village juta.
  Juta Valley – Tina Lake Trek
  Distance: approx. 6–7 km (round trip)
  Elevation gain: approx. +350–400 m
  Hiking time: 3–4 hours including breaks
  Difficulty: Easy to moderate
  Trail description: well-defined mountain trail with gradual ascent, alpine meadows, river views, and open valley landscapes. Suitable for first-time hikers with normal fitness.

• Instead of Gergeti church let’s visit winery for wine tasting since tomorrow morning winery will not be open early. Wine tasting per person is 30 GEL.
  
  
• Drive to Stepantsminda and check in Hotel gold.  12 twin rooms and 2 single rooms for guides.

• Late meal free time at a local restaurants (self-paid) or please let Natia know how many persons would like to have dinner at our hotel 50 gel per person. we need to know this in advance in the morning.

On this day, you may choose between an early lunch or a late meal and coordinate this with your guide.

Day 2 (Aug 17): Truso Valley Trekking & Winery Visit

Breakfast 8:00am 
Meet at  8:30 to discuss the plan and go 9:00

We switched itinerary and instead of winery we will go to Gergeti fist thing in the morning. after drive to Truso valley for hike.

Stops and plan:

• Gergeti church
• Truso hike
• Restaurant
• Tbilisi

12:00 – Hike toward Truso Lake and Zakagori Fortress until approx. 15:00
Truso Valley Trek (to Zakagori Fortress / Truso Lake area)
The best route to take is from Turos cafe towards Abano lake and continue further towards Zakagori fortress. our cars will wait for us at the fortress.

Distance: approx. 6-7 km
Elevation gain: approx. +250–300 m
Hiking time: 3 hours including breaks
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Trail description: mostly flat wide valley trail, passing mineral springs, abandoned villages, travertine formations, and river crossings. No technical sections.

Late lunch at a local restaurant (self-paid). Suggested restaurant – Kavtaradzeebi Khinkali in Pasanauri.

16:00–18:00 – return drive toward Tbilisi.

Hotel in Tbilisi – 12 twin rooms in Sephia hotel with breakfast.
Cars – 5x Mitsubishi Delica 4wd cars.

Day 3 (Aug 18): Transfer to Mestia

Breakfast 8:00
Meet your one guide at 08:30 and go towards Mestia as soon as possible.

Transfer to Mestia with 2x Mercedes sprinter.
Restaurant stop en route (self-paid).

Check-in at Mestia guesthouse around 20:00.  Hotel Svaneti 12 twin rooms. Dinner, Breakfast at 8:00 and take lunch boxes included.

Day 4 (Aug 19): Mestia → Zhabeshi Trekking

Breakfast at 8:00 Pack lunch boxes.

Leave extra luggage at the guesthouse entrance for vehicle transfer to Zhabeshi.

Hiking details:

• Distance: 16.1 km (may be shorter depending on drop-off point)
• Elevation: +763 m / −523 m
• Hiking time: approx. 4–5 hours including breaks

Extra luggage of 24 people plus 2 guides transferred to Zhabeshi in advance.

Dinner, breakfast and lunch boxes included.
Overnight in Zhabeshi guesthouse.

Gogia guesthouse is one of the best in Zhabeshi. please note that from today we will be staying in the villages. Gogia guesthouse is fully booked only with our group. bathrooms are shared. 
total we have 9 twin rooms,  1 triple room, 1 quadruple room. we will need room listing in advance for smooth enter. total guesthouse has 25 beds, we will occupy 24 for you and guides will stay in neighbor’s guesthouse. food will be all together.

Day 5 (Aug 20): Zhabeshi → Adishi Trekking

Breakfast 8:00
Meet your two trekking guides at 8:30 discuss plan and go!

Pack lunch boxes and leave extra luggage at the entrance.

Hiking details:

• Distance: 10.6 km

• Elevation: +909 m / −527 m

Luggage transported by vehicle for all 24 persons plus 2 guides.
Dinner included, breakfast, lunch boxes included.

Overnight in Adishi.

Guesthouse has total 9 rooms. some has 3 beds, some has 4 beds. they also have extra room for guides to stay with group.  we will need to check in our rooms on the place. bathrooms are shared total they have 5 bathrooms.

Day 6 (Aug 21): Adishi → Iprari Trekking

Breakfast 8:00. 
Meet your  your two trekking guides  at 8:30 discuss plan and go!

Pack lunch boxes and leave extra luggage at the entrance.

Hiking details:

• Distance: 18.7 km

• Elevation: +860 m / −1,069 m

Horseback river crossing included shortly after departure.
Luggage transported by vehicle.
Dinner included.

they offer shared triple and quadruple rooms. 5 bathrooms shared total. guides will be same hotel with you. we need to check in on place.

Day 7 (Aug 22): Iprari → Ushguli → Tbilisi

Breakfast 8:00. meet your guides 8:30 discuss and go !
Pack lunch boxes.
we will hike down to the street and meet our drivers there. Our luggage will be transfered by Delicas.
we will meet 2x Sprinter cars.

Transfer to Ushguli, photo stops in Ushguli  – continue transfer to Tbilisi.

Restaurant stop on request (self-paid).
Hotel check-in in Tbilisi around 20:00.

Day 8 (Aug 23): Tbilisi City Tour & Departure

pack your luggage 7:30 not to loose time.
Breakfast 8:00. 
8:30 go for city tour. cable car opens at 10:00 so we can start a tour from bath district and walk towards Rike park.

Tbilisi city tour including:

• Cable car tickets
• Mother of Georgia
• Rike Park
• Sulphur bath district

Transfer to the airport by 2x Mercedes Sprinters.

There is no time for a lunch break; however, the route offers many street food options.
Transfer time to the airport is approximately 45 minutes.
Arrival at the airport is planned 3 hours before departure which is  14:10.

we need to be at airport 11:30, so we need to leave Tbilisi 11:00 max

The tour is calculated based on 24 tourists.
You are free to adjust the group size.
For a smaller group, vehicle types remain the same.
For a larger group, an additional small vehicle will be required.

As this is a large group tour, we will prepare a custom cancellation policy.

To confirm the booking, a 10% deposit of the total tour price is required.
You can book one ticket online; this 10% deposit is non-refundable.

The remaining balance can be paid in cash.
Our tour manager will visit you at the hotel.
Cash payments are accepted in GEL, USD, or EUR.

If the tour is cancelled from your side, no additional charges apply; only the 10% deposit remains non-refundable.

Validity of Quotation

The price is fixed until July.
From July onward, prices will need to be recalculated due to last-minute booking conditions.

For payment confirmation and remaining balance calculations, we can issue an official invoice.

Mountain Village Accommodation

All rooms have private bathrooms in Mestia and Stepantsminda.
In rare cases in Svaneti such as Zhabeshi, Adishi and Iprari, bathrooms may be shared with other rooms.

Important Notes:

• • The itinerary is intensive with a tight schedule and limited rest time. If you prefer more rest, some activities will need to be skipped.

  • Weather conditions in the mountains can change quickly. In case of bad weather, the guide may adjust the hiking route, duration, or timing.

  • If hiking is not possible due to weather or safety reasons, the hike will be skipped and replaced with driving or rest time where possible.

  • Daily schedules may change due to road conditions, traffic, or unforeseen local circumstances.

  • Mountain guesthouses are simple and authentic; comfort standards differ from city hotels. it has electricity, hot water, heaters, towels.

  • Participants should have good physical condition and prior hiking experience is recommended.

  • Proper hiking shoes, rain protection, and warm layers are mandatory.

  • Early departures are required on several days to complete the program safely.

  • Internet local coverage is normal – good mostly everywhere. you will need to purchase e sim of Magti or Silknet (not celfie it is not good for mountains). or please let us know if you need physical sim cards on arrival.
