Vashlovani Village Day Hike offers spectacular views without long drives. The trail includes the medieval Kojori (Azeula) Fortress, the charming Ghoubani church, and 19th-century “Supra Tower” that served as entertainment and a banquet place for Georgian aristocrats. It’s a good trail for novice hikers and anyone who looks for a relaxed Spring hike.

Trail description: It’s an easy downhill trail that starts at Kojori Fortress and leads through a picturesque forest. The hike includes a few very manageable uphills, but is mostly downhill. Hiking poles are recommended but are not a must-have.
Itinerary:
We will depart Tbilisi in the morning and head to the ruins of the medieval Azeula (Kojori) Fortress, where we will start our hike. The trail will lead us through a picturesque forest up to the 16th-century Ghoubani Church. After a short break, we will continue to the village of Vashlovani. The landscape will change to open fields granting us lovely views. Once we reach Vashlovani, we will visit Salkhino Tower, built in 1811 as an entertainment and banquet place for Georgian aristocrats. Return to Tbilisi. The end of the tour.
