We will start the day driving over Gombori Pass to the Old Shuamta Monastery. Hidden in a deciduous forest, the medieval Shuamta is perfect for a short walk and beautiful forest photos. From Shuamta, we will head to Telavi to visit our first winery – a charming, family-owned place where we will tour the cellar and try our hosts’ best wines.  Next, we will continue to Nekresi Monastery. This stunning religious complex perched on a wooded hillock is part of the historic site of Nekresi, once a flourishing town of Late Antiquity.

In the afternoon, we will continue our Telavi Wine Tour in the 2nd-second winery. The place houses a restaurant where you can order a meal a la carte while we sample their delicious wines.  Once we finish wine tasting, we will head back to Tbilisi.
