Join our birdwatching tour to Krtsanisi Park. We will observe the birds under the guidance of a specialist with wide-ranging experience and great enthusiasm who has been leading birdwatching tours for many years within Georgia. We will provide the necessary equipment and on-the-site explanation.

Itinerary:
We will leave Tbilisi in the morning and head to Krtsanisi Park located some 20 km away from Tbilisi. Upon arrival, we we will follow our guide on a search for species of birds nesting in the area. During the tour, we will also stop at two salty lakes that are spots for several more bird species. Our guide will provide an insight into Georgia’s bird life and the secrets of birdwatching.
Despite its close proximity to Tbilisi, the park is remarkably rich in birds. The park has paved roads and looks like an open forest with grass. Closer to the Kura River are wetlands and reedbeds. Six woodpecker species inhabit the park, including the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Syrian Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, and Black Woodpecker. Other woodland birds include many visible Golden Oriole, subspecies of the Eurasian Jay with a black cap, and Eurasian Scops Owl. Return to Tbilisi in the afternoon. The end of our birdwatching tour.
