Join us on a 1-day Kakheti Wine Tour to enjoy a beautiful combination of nature, sightseeing, and wine tasting. During our tour we will visit two wine cellars, each with different style of wines. We will also explore Sighnaghi and Bodbe Monastery to enjoy Georgian history and architecture.

Itinerary:

We will start the day driving to Sighnaghi. On the way, we will stop at a charming family-owned winery for our first wine tasting with some morning snacks. Next, we will continue to Bodbe Monastery and the town of Sighnaghi to enjoy the winter atmosphere of Kakheti. Weather permitting, we may see the snow-capped peaks of the Greater Caucasus.  

In the afternoon, we will continue our Kakheti Wine Tour in the 2nd-second winery. The place houses a restaurant where you can order a meal a la carte while we sample delicious wines.  Once we finish wine tasting, we will head back to Tbilisi. Return to Tbilisi. The end of the trip.

How to prepare for the tour

MEETING TIME AND PLACE

We meet at 9 am at Samaia Garden. Please be on time. In case of any delays, please inform your guide. Otherwise, the group will depart without you.  

WEATHER

Georgian weather changes often and fast. For this reason, it's essential to follow the weather forecast closely. Here is the weather forecast. Please check it the night before the tour to be well prepared.

WHAT TO WEAR

Please wear clothes appropriate to the weather. We recommend wearing comforatble walking shoes. Georgian customs require a strict dress code in the monasteries. Women are obliged to cover their heads and legs. We recommend bringing one or two scarves for that purpose. Otherwise, you will have to wear communal clothes. Men must wear long trousers.   

FOOD & DRINKS

Always make sure you have enough drinking water. 1.5 litter should be enough for the day. Bring snacks some light snack as lunch may be late. Additionally, we will also stop in the supermarket in the morning to make sure you have everything needed with you.  

OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS

If you are prone to motion sickness, please have medicine with you. Bring a day pack to carry important items with you.
