Itinerary:
Day 1
Tbilisi – Juta – Stepantsminda
We will depart Tbilisi in the morning and head along Georgian Military Highway towards Sno and Juta. We will start our hike about 4-3 km before Juta village (due to very poor road conditions). The round-way hike starts at the picturesque Juta Village and takes visitors to the foot of Mount Chaukhi. The most difficult is the initial stage of the trail, which involves a relatively steep, 1-kilometer-long ascent. Later, the path becomes more even, and the hikers can enjoy a beautiful walk through a majestic mountain valley. On our hike, we will aim to reach an alpine lake, Tine, perched at the foot of Chaukhi. Time permitting, we will also enjoy a nearby waterfall. In the afternoon, we will drive to Stepantsminda. Overnight in Stepantsminda.
Day 2
Stepantsminda – Gveleti – Gergeti church – Gudauri – – Tbilisi
After breakfast, we will enjoy short hike to the 25-meter-high Gveleti Waterfall. we will head to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church. This 14th-century church stands on the right bank of the river Chkheri at an elevation of 2170 meters. Its isolated location on top of a steep mountain surrounded by the vastness of nature has made it a symbol for Georgia. . Next, we will head back to Tbilisi, stopping on the way to admire the medieval Ananuri Architectural Complex and the Gudauri Panorama. Return to Tbilisi.
